Thai Pads
Thai Pads is a fun and high pace Kickboxing class, where the participants pair up with a partner and take turns to hold thai pads for each other. Thai pads are pads used by kickboxing and thaiboxing coaches to allow the fighter to practice combinations of punches, kicks, knees and elbows. At Systems Thai Pads, you’ll find professional fighters working right next to a beginner, because you are working combos at your own level. What makes Thai pads so much fun is the constantly varying combinations, which will keep you having to work on both your coordination and your stamina!
Bag Class
What makes the Systems Bag classes such a great class is because it’s literally for anyone. It is equally useful for individuals who are looking for a fun and different way to exercise, to professional fighters sharpening their tools. All martial artists know how important drilling combinations on the bags are and our talented instructors are constantly putting together fun and functional combinations for people to try out on the bags. Bag classes are great workout classes but also an important part of learning how to fight well. The heavy bag allows you to mix both speed and power and work combination after combination!
Although Kickboxing and Muay Thai (Thaiboxing) are two separate sports, people often confuse them. The main difference is that the traditional sport of Thaiboxing, which originates from Thailand, allows for clinching and elbows. Systems Training Center teaches a fusion of American kickboxing, Dutch style kickboxing and Thaiboxing, as there are pros and cons with all styles and ultimately, we want to make our students as allrounded as possible. In our classes, students will develop their punches, kicks, footwork, defensive techniques and athleticism. Beginner classes are available for those who want to learn some basic techniques, self defense and/or try a new and fun way to workout, because kickboxing and thaiboxing are definitely a workout! During advanced classes, knee strikes, elbows and clinch work, as well as sparring is included.
STC coaches are well versed in the sports of both Kickboxing and Muay Thai, many having competed both on an amateur as well as a professional level. This gives students a great opportunity to learn from actual fighters, even if they just want to learn the skill set in order to defend themselves but also opens the door for anyone who wants to compete, both on the amateur as well as the pro level.
